S-168 Inline PCBA Cleaning Machine by Southern Machinery
The S-168 is an inline brush cleaner for single-sided PCBA soldering surfaces. In this second look, we cover its four washing stations and liquid loop.
What the S-168 does
Brush modules clean the front, back, left, and right sides with no dead angles, using conventional washing water and no manual contact.
- Designed for tin beads, flux traces, and scratches
- Anti-static brown-hair brushes: no static build-up, no board damage
- Handles board edges from 1.5 mm, with widths of 10-500 mm
Verified specifications
| Parameter | Verified value |
| --- | --- |
| PCB size, max. | 300 x 300 mm |
| Transmission / spindle | 0.05-1.8 m/min; 0-500 R/min |
| Disc brush / coating drum | D300 disc brush; L320 mm drum |
| Dimensions | L1750 x W770 x H980 mm (+/-2 mm) |
| Power | 220 V 50 Hz (110 V optional); 0.5 kW |
Parameters are customizable.
The four washing stations
- 1st cleaning - roller abrasive brush with detergent (SUS box)
- 2nd cleaning - brown-hair disc brush, no medium
- 3rd cleaning - roller abrasive brush with detergent
- 4th cleaning - brown-hair disc brush
The wet and dry modules have independent motors: speed and height are set separately.
Control modes and liquid loop
- Manual operation: the operator runs each function one by one
- Intelligent economy operation: when no board is present, the brushes and pump stop, cutting agent and power consumption
- A three-stage filtration system recycles the liquid back to the cleaning tank
- Low-level and over-limit alarms protect the tank
Line integration
- Boards enter after reflow or wave soldering, synchronized with the rail
- Transport is fully visible, so PCB progress can be observed
- Reserve space for three manual stations on one side of the line
ROI perspective
The S-168 replaces manual board wiping after soldering, and its running cost sits in the liquid loop: the agent is recycled, the pump and brushes idle when no board is present, and alarms prevent a tank from running dry. We model ROI case by case.
