S1000 Sequencer Machine by Southern Machinery
A taped axial reel only feeds an inserter in the order that machine expects. The S1000 Sequencer Machine compiles 52 mm axial tapes into one programmed 42 mm tape at 20,000 PCS/H.
What is this machine used for?
The S1000 is a component-preparation machine for the THT side of PCB assembly. It edits resistors, capacitors, transistors and diodes from mixed 52 mm axial tape into a 42 mm tape compiled by the programme set for insertion into the PCB. It runs 40 stations on Windows-based software with Excel programme input over USB.

Where the S1000 sits in a THT line
- Taped axial components arrive from the component store.
- The S1000 re-sequences them onto one programmed 42 mm tape.
- Axial insertion consumes the tape in programme order, then fluxing, preheating and wave soldering form the joints; an inline lead cutter or AOI closes the line.
ROI perspective
An inserter stopped for the next taped component wastes the machine hour you paid for. One sequenced tape removes that wait, and one sequencer bench supplies several insertion shifts. Southern Machinery models the return case by case.

FAQ
How is the S1000 different from an axial insertion machine?
It inserts nothing - it prepares the tape, compiling mixed 52 mm axial tapes into one programmed 42 mm tape.
Which components can it sequence?
Tape-packed axial capacitors, resistors, transistors and diodes, up to 16 mm body length and 5.0 mm diameter.
What happens in a power dip?
A UPS keeps it running for 15 minutes without power.
What programming input does it use?
Excel data over USB, on an English Windows control platform.
