An inline AOI only protects yield as long as it stays calibrated. The S-L680B's maintenance routine keeps false calls and downtime off a two-shift SMT line.

How the S-L680B works

Four subsystems do the work: the workbench, the CCD camera system, the electromechanical control, and the software. The X/Y table moves each board under the lens, and the processor compares the image against the pre-stored "standard." It connects automatically with upstream and downstream equipment, signals OK/NG downstream, and uses jigsaw fast-copy programming with a component image library.

Calibration, lubrication, and consumables
